How to Add Music into iPhone.
Just downloaded an .mp3 or .mp4 of the latest song and want to add it to your iPhone for listening on-the-go? Read on to find out how.
Method 1: Adding Music from Your Library
- 1Add the music file to your iTunes Library. In iTunes, go to File >> Add to Library, and select the file. iTunes will incorporate it into your library.
- It's helpful if you have a Music folder or other common area where you store all of the files you add to iTunes for your own convenience.
- 2Connect your iPhone to your computer through a USB connector. Plug the wider end into the bottom of the iPhone and the shorter end into your computer.
- 3Open iTunes. When your device connects, an "iPhone" button will pop up on the left side or top-right corner (depending on what version of iTunes you have) for you to access your phone's settings. Click on this button.
- 4On the top navigation sub-menu, select "Music."
- 5Make sure "Sync Music" at the top is checked. If you have "Entire music library" selected, the song you just added to iTunes will automatically be added to your iPhone. If you do not, and instead have "Selected playlists, artists, albums, and genres" checked, then check the box next to the appropriate playlist, artist, album, or genre that applies to the song you wish to add.
- 6Press "Apply" at the bottom to confirm your changes. Your new song will be added to your iPhone.
- Method 2. Add Music into Apple Iphone's through Purchasing.
- 1You can purchase music from iTunes directly from your iPhone for immediate download over the Internet. Launch the iTunes app from your phone.
- 2Search for a song you would like to purchase.
- 3Tap on the song to select it. To the right, you'll see the price on a gray button. Tap on it to purchase the song, and confirm your choice.
- You can also purchase entire albums if you search for the album name.
- 4Your purchase will begin downloading immediately if you have Internet connection. If not, launch iTunes and click "More" on the bottom horizontal navigation bar.
- Tap "Purchased", "Music," and then select an artist or "All Songs."
- Tap on the button to the right of a song you'd like to download. If the song has already been downloaded, it will have a "Play" button instead.
- 5Turn on automatic downloads if you want your iTunes purchases to automatically download to your iPhone. Go to Settings >> iTunes & App Stores. In the "Automatic Downloads" section, you can switch it on for Music and/or Apps.
